SURREALISMO POP

Fijense lo que son las cosas, si ayer me fuí a dormir sumido entre sueños surrealistas por la imagenes de Buñuel que impactaban en mis retinas mientras la adormidera se apoderaba de mi cuerpo, hoy lo haré habiendo descubierto un nuevo movimiento pictórico que mana de las fuentes de los surrealistas de comienzos de siglo pero puestas al día, mezclándolas con la cultura pop. Estaba viendo el lolipop programa Silenci y ha aparecido un reportaje que hablaba del surrealismo pop y la verdad es que me ha gustado esta corriente pictórica, ya habia visto algunos de los cuadros que han aparecido pero ignoraba que se tratase de todo un movimiento. He podido cazar a vuelo el nombre de un par de sus representantes junto con sus páginas web, que les linko por si quieren hacerse una idea. Por un lado está una artista llamada Camille Rose Garcia si visitan su página comprobarán su estilo en un principio infantil, pero que en el fondo dá un poco de mal rollo. según contaba Camille, de pequeña visitó Disneylandia y le impactó bastante todo lo que vió allí, por lo que ahora aparecen personajes clásicos de Disney que utiliza para cargar contra el modelo capitalista. Otro de los nombres que he pillado es el de Mark Ryden que al parecer es el abanderado de toda esta corriente, influenciado por el imaginario de "Alicia en el país de las maravillas" sus obras resultan tan tétricas como personales. Añado los links de ambos artistas a favoritos y me planteo si cambiar el fondo de pantalla por uno de Mark Ryden.

Me congrarula saber que a usted también le gusta la obra de Ryan. Estoy deacurdo en lo referenta a que su obra tiene referencias a la obra de Poe. Por cierto, haciendo asociación de ideas, Ryan, si no recuerdo mal ilustró la portada del album "Dangerous" de Michael -amigo de los niños- Jackson. ¿Conoce la teoria de los seis grados de relatividad?.

Hola Sr. Ruso, ha acertado con Mark Ryan, me encanta su pintura, es el pintor de moda en Estados Unidos y muchos artistas de cine compran sus cuadros. Además es un tío que vive en una especie de castillo, con juguetes(espero que no se lleve a dormir niños como uno que me se yo). Tiene su obra y su vida un aire a Edgar Alan Pole.
